Prayer Room

“My eyes stay open through the night watches, that I might meditate on your word..”

Psalm 119:148

The night watch is a challenge that one must be more than willing to take on. This is the time where sleep is at the tip of your eyelids and at any moment you may fall asleep. I set this time for worship, prayer/intercession and reading of Adonai Yehova’s Word.

THE NIGHT WATCH

Psalm 63:6 ~ I meditate on thee in the night-watches.

The 8 prayer watches for day and night

Interestingly, this is the time where the veil between the natural realm and spiritual realm is more apparent. There is always activity going on in the spirit realm but I find the stillness of human movement and my sleepiness are beneficial to hear and see glimpse into the spiritual realm. I have set out 2 AM to 5 AM as my meeting time with my Lord Yeshua HaMashiach. This time frame has gone on longer (till 6 AM) or shortened depending on whether I have fallen asleep or being tremendously empowered by the Holy Spirit to go deeper in worship and/or prayer/intercession for any specific person or situation. I have changed my night watch routine devotions here and there to support my level of attentiveness. My prayer closet is literally my bedroom closet which is not very spacious but I find that better than a huge one. I’m not claustrophobic so I really don’t mind the small space, it keeps me focus anyway.

My daytime events may have weighed more heavily on my body than other days where I was not so bothered with so many task. Either way, I attempt to stick with my default order of  devotion which is: 1 hour of meditative worship, 30 minutes reading the Word of Adonai Yahweh, 1 hour praying in the spirit, 30 minutes of intercessions for whom every or what ever issue(s) I have on my current top priority prayer list and a couple of minutes of prayer and singing in the spirit to one of my favorite dawn soaking worship music.

I have had many spiritual experience where I’ve crossed that thin veil where my physical body fell asleep as I was reading the bible but my spirit stayed awake so-to-speak and I continued to read. I did not notice I was literally reading with my spirit until my physical eyes opened and I realized my body had fallen asleep but my spiritual body stayed awake and my prayer closet, my environment and the fact that I kept reading further onto other sentences continued on as it was.

Being a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids, is a challenge to find quiet time to spend with the Lord Yeshua. My absolute best moments are moments of pure worship where I am able to break through the dry worship  the tangible feeling of the Holy Spirit comes on me like a blanket and I hear the voice of my Lord Yeshua so clearly.

I look forward to increase the time I spend praying in the spirit for the full 3 hours which I dedicate to my night watch for a season so the I may become more spiritual sensitive to the leading and inspiration from the Holy Spirit. If there was to be a “secret” to becoming more spiritual inclined to what the Holy spirit is doing and to become edified and strong in your spirit, then praying in the spirit more would be the “secret”. The Lord has this available for all who believe yet many in the church of Jesus Christ do not believe that this gift is available for today’s church and come up with ridiculous arguments on whether praying in the spirit is for today’s believers. Seek the Holy Spirit for your personal convictions on this matter.

I will post updates on my night watch and any supernatural events that may take please.

In the meantime, keep see the Lord while He may be found. Be Holy Spirit filled and Holy Spirit led.
